Watch The First Trailer For Netflix Original Film ‘Beasts Of No Nation’

Briefly: Could you imagine a world where Netflix began to win Academy Awards for their original films?

Because I think that’s what they’re shooting for here.

The first trailer for the Idris Elba starring Beasts of No Nation has just hit the web, and it looks heavy in content and incredible in production value. Directed by Cary Fukunaga, the same talent behind True Detective‘s ingenious first season, I definitely think that this will be a film to watch out for come awards season.

In the film, “when civil war tears his family apart, a young West African boy is forced to join a unit of mercenary fighters and transform into a child soldier.” Yep. Heavy stuff.
