Teabag Prevention Presents: The Road to Recon Armor – Week 2 – Vidmaster Achievement DÃjà Vu

After going over what is probably the hardest vidmaster achievement, we at Teabag headquarters are going to move onto what is the second hardest vidmaster achievement ever…for us. This is, of course, the Deja Vu achievement. Now, I know what you’re thinking, “How the hell are we supposed to do this without a tank?!?!” To answer your question, you do it with rockets and mongi. (Plural for Mongoose, duh.)

Note: Turn the IRON SKULL on, make sure it’s on LEGENDARY, and make sure you have SMG‘s before getting on the road.

THIS WEEK: VIDMASTER ACHIEVEMENT Déjà VU

TIP #1 – I CAN’T SHAKE ‘EM!

By now, I’m sure most of you have some decent Halo skills, though the first part of this level can be challenging if you don’t know what you’re doing. Let’s start by getting you weapons.

You can find a cache here:

A Sniper Rifle can be found by going up stairs on your first left before the battle.

A Shotgun, AR, and more SMG ammo can be picked up here:

Rockets can be found here, although these aren’t the rockets you’ll be using on the back of the mongoose, so shoot away.

First, you’re going to want to take the Brutes out first. Simply combine your efforts in taking out one Brute at a time. Once they begin retreating, make sure to take out as many Jackles as you can. Be sure to stay behind cover AT ALL TIMES. This is very important due to the turret mounted on top of the snipe tower. Kill the Grunt, but don’t kill the turret.

Once the turret is free, get someone up there and fire down at the Brutes while the rest of your team flanks them. Turret person; if you start to die, go ahead and leave. No one’s going to blame you.

TIP #2 – BE GOOD LITTLE HULKAMANIACS

This tip may be short, but it’s important enough to warrant its own tip section.
Before you go outside through this door, make sure you’ve checked this check list off:

If you don’t, you can find some health here and other parts of the area you’re in:

Grenades aren’t of importance due to the fact you cannot throw them when on the back of a Mongoose.

TIP #3 – GET A GOOD RUN IN

Once you’re outside, DO NOT get inside of a Warthog. You and your team are going to walk down a tunnel that lies straight ahead of you.

When there, you’re going to find that the music has changed, Rocket Launchers with 999 rockets, and four Mongi.  Now, the next part can be one of the most fun Halo experiences you’ll ever have, or the worst, and much like a hot date, it all depends on how you start this.

TIP #4 – CANNONS AWAY

The first part’s easy. Make sure you don’t get stuck or get shot by a fuel rod cannon. Keep moving and never stay in one place, even if you’re by the next set of doors you have go through.

Once you encounter Banshees, Ghosts, Fuel Rod Grunts and Brutes you’re going to want to take out the Banshees first. While you’re doing that, take the Sniper Towers out too.

Once those are down, kill the Ghosts and Fuel Rod Covies.

TIP #5 – I AIN’T FRAID A NO BANSHEE

Whenever you see a group of Covies armed with Fuel Rod Cannons, dozens of ‘Nades, and other things, you’re going to want to keep your distance. Take them all out with your rockets before you enter the battle.

If there are numerous Banshees flying about, have only ONE mongoose go through the underground tunnel and stop at the edge. You’ll find that you’ll have some relatively easy shots while the Banshees try to kill you.

Meanwhile, the other two teammates should be driving around killing Ghosts and other baddies.

TIP #6 –  I AIN’T FRAID A NO…OH WE USED THAT ONE ALREADY?…

What you’re going to want to do here is set up a line. All of you may need to get off the Mongi and fire at the incoming Ghosts. Be sure to take their gun turrets out too.

TIP #7 – READY, AIM, FIRE

Alright. You all made it this far and this part should be easier. Should be. Don’t get cocky(I always get cocky). Since you probably have at least 800, 900 rockets left, position yourselves in stratigic parts so that you’ll be able to take out all the Covies in a matter of seconds.

Key Positions:

The final battle should be easy. After all, you have more than enough ammo. Shoot away, always shoot AHEAD of your enemy and make sure you always have safe sex. See you next Friday!
