Teabag Prevention Presents: How to Suck Less at Halo Vol.2 – Ghost

This marks the second week into the Vehicles series and one more week towards our one year anniversary. Yes, I love you too, everyone. So let’s get right into it. Last week we gave you tips on how to run Halo’s most iconic HUMAN vehicle. This week, we teach you how to man Halo’s most iconic Covenant vehicle:

THIS WEEK: THE GHOST

TIP #1 – MAPS MUY GRANDES

Ghosts should be used as cover-fire vehicles on larger maps. It’s a given due to the fact that you have tanks and anti-vehicle weapons littered all over these larger maps.

Ghosts are usually great as back-up for flag/bomb carriers. It’s like having your own personal bodyguard that can hover and shoot his/her twin plasma cannons at baddies.

Under no circumstances should the Ghost be your main assault vehicle on larger maps. With the threat of tanks and other anti-vehicle threats, it’s just silly. Also, any Jamoke with a sticky grenade can take you out, or mount you, if you’re not moving too fast. There’s no joke in that last sentence.

TIP #2 -MAPS MUY SMALLO

On smaller maps, Ghosts can be and should be used as your assault vehicle. Though it can be easier to destroy with ‘nades, usually the Ghost can just speed away if necessary.

One important fact: Always scan your environment. You may want to use the terrain as a ramp, a hiding place, or even as a getaway.

Just be aware that if you are close to dying and you accidentally run into a tree, you’ll probably die. But when you do make it out of a firefight, a battle cry like Lando Callirisian at the end of Episode six is appropriate.

TIP #3 – GHOST WHISPERER

The cons about the Ghost are numerous. The fact that the driver is just out there and that it’s such a lightweight vehicle are just the noticeable ones.  What you’re going to want to do if you’re in need of extermination are these:

Battle Rifle shots to the head. (Preferably.)

SMG’s along with Assault Rifles deliver damage, especially if the driver’s shields are out.

Frag Grenades do some damage if strategically thrown. You’re at a disadvantage here due to the fact that the Ghost is moving pretty fast. So, you know, throw it ahead of them.

Plasma Grenades are almost the same as Frags. The major advantage here is that they stick. Still, you have to account for the Ghosts movement.

And everything else…
