New Powerpuff Girls Show In The Works From Cartoon Network

Just announced today, Cartoon Network is dishing out a whole bunch of new shows, including a brand new computer generated special starring our favorite super powered youngsters.

The guys over at Bleeding Cool posted up the info and this picture of the redesigned characters:

Besides their obvious look change, the crew behind the scenes have changed. Gone is the creator, Craig McCraken, as he is busy on another show for Disney. The new PPG’s are being directed by Dave Smith and have been re-designed by Kevin Dart.

The same cast is returning to lend their voices, as well as Beatle Ringo Starr. He is credited as playing Fibonnaci Sequins and will be performing a song entitled ” I Wish I Was A Powerpuff Girl ” and leads me to believe that he may either be a new villain or some kind of super fan that gets in the way at some point.
