Mel Gibson In Talks With Warner Bros. To Direct ‘Suicide Squad’ Sequel
Because the first Suicide Squad didn’t have enough villains, Warner Bros. is now eyeing Mel Gibson for the position of the sequel’s director. He is not the only director being considered, another option is Daniel Espinosa, however Gibson is currently familiarizing himself with the DC Universe, according to sources.
While his film, Hacksaw Ridge, earned an Oscar nomination, there is still something to be said about Gibson’s character flaws, especially his anti-Semitic comments. Does Warner Bros. really want to be associating with this guy?
The final decision on the director’s role is still to come.
