Marvel Announces ‘Marvel Universe Live’ Tour!

Feld Entertainment, longtime producers of Disney On Ice, have a new show in the works that should cater well to readers and staff alike here at Geekscape.

Marvel Universe Live is now in production. The tour will launch in July 2014 with an 85 city North American run before heading overseas. According to Deadline, each show will feature “state-of-the-art special effects, pyrotechnics, aerial displays, martial arts and countless other show elements”. The budget for the tour is over 10 million dollars, so whatever shape the final product takes should be pretty damn impressive.

One very interesting aspect of the announcement; as Marvel Universe Live is a live show, we’ll be seeing team-ups that would never, ever be possible in the film universe. Marvel film properties are split between a multitude of different companies, but those agreements do not include live performances!
