Josh Trank’s ‘Fantastic Four’ Script To Get Polish From Seth Grahame-Smith

With Matthew Vaughn joining the Josh Trank-directed adaptation of Fantastic Four as a producer, production on the film is definitely moving forward. Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, best-selling author and screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith, the writer behind Pride And Prejudice And Zombies and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, was recently tapped to polish the screen play for the film, which was originally penned by Jeremy Slater.

In addition, THR also reports that Josh Trank is aiming for a “grounded superhero and sci-fi” approach to the reboot of Marvel’s first family and will delve deep into the comics mythology. Perhaps we will see The Mole Man in the film, who was the first villain that the superheroes encountered in the comics. While I can’t talk about it quite yet, I do know a little about Fox’s upcoming plans for their Marvel properties and there’s some exciting things ahead that include The Fantastic Four. Expect even more news regarding the project to start popping up over the next few months.

The Fantastic Four is scheduled to hit theaters on March, 6, 2015.
