Help The Crew From Super GG Radio Raise Money For CMN During Extra Life!
I think that Extra Life is an unbelievably cool idea.
Gamers around the world, joining forces to raise money in support of sick an injured kids just feels so freaking wholesome, and the idea that it’s essentially a ‘marathon’ of streamed games just makes it feel like almost anyone can get involved.
I love it.
While I’d love to get a Geekscape Network team going in the near future (mostly to watch Horror Movie Night’s non-gamer host Matt Kelly play games because I think that would be hilarious), it hasn’t happened just yet and I have no excuse as to why.
That said, our pals over at Super GG Radio (of which, host Joel will be a guest on the December 11th edition of Xbox Game Passengers), a gaming podcast approaching its 40th episode that definitely gives me classic Geekscape Games (RIP) vibes, will be streaming for 24 hours in support of the Children’s Miracle Network on November 16th.
These guys have great chemistry and a fantastic show (listen to their latest episode embedded below), and I’m looking forward to checking out their stream, which they note will include all three regular hosts, along with an “open door of special guests and previous hosts and spouses!”
Again, things start up at 12AM on November 16th, and will last a whole 24 hours. The team has just posted their streaming schedule, which includes a ‘spooky hour’ filled with Blair Witch and Silent Hill 2, co-op games like Overcooked and Portal 2, some tournaments, some Jackbox Party Pack, and even some Sonic Adventure (and more). It should be a great time.
The team has set a goal of $1000USD, and have already amassed a cool $845 as of this writing.
You can check out the Super GG Radio twitch channel right here, and head to their Extra Life team page to donate right here. Good luck on Saturday to all of those on the Super GG Radio team!
