Halo Waypoint for Dummies: Everything you need to know!
Halo Waypoint is out, and many of you who have been reading Teabag Prevention should be at level 40 already. If not, we have multiple articles on weapons, vehicles, and achivements in the realm of Halo for you to check out.
What does Halo Waypoint do?
- Halo Waypoint records your Halo career.
- Watch Red vs. Blue episodes.
- Watch Halo Legends and the making of each episode as they release.
- Get caught up on Halo news, activites, and more.
- Watch many sorts of vidoes in the Halo realm.
Halo Legends
Halo Legends will be a running series done by the creators of popular Anime titles. Think of it as Batman: Gotham Knight, but Halo. People called that the Batmanimatrix (after the Animatrix), so I guess this could be called…The Halo..ma…Haloanim…The Animaster Chie…This is anime about Halo. The stories told will be before the first game. The protagonist changes through each episode, but we will see familar faces…or helmets.
For those of you who have seen the newest episode, which is on Waypoint right now, you’ll notice an ODST who goes by ‘Dutch.’
When this whole series was announced at Comic-Con ’09, I saw that some of the concept art shown included the sourroundings of multiplayer maps that we’ve all played through. I was given the opportunity to ask Frankie and the people at 343 studios about this, and of course, they didn’t comment much. What one of them DID say, however, was that it was part of the job to know each map and its purpose.
Some of the concept art shown came from Ghost Town and the ONI building and stairs from the Security Zone. Awesome. Looking forward to much, much more of this.
Your Halo Career
You can build you level by earning achievements, hopefully you know this by now. Achievements from Halo 3, ODST, and Halo Wars will be accumilated here. It’s a nice way to get something more from your hard work in Halo. It’s another project to strive in if you’re lacking in some areas. You can’t check your game history, but you can check your accomplishments out.

That being said, the only thing Waypoint is missing is game histroy, but then again, that’s not its primary function. Waypoint is the central hub for all things Halo. And with Modern Warfare 2 out this week, I’m glad that we have something reminding us all how much of a community Halo is. Thanks Halo Waypoint. So far, you are kicking ass and bringing me into your Universe.
