WonderCon 2013: Guillermo Del Toro Reveals New ‘Dark Universe’ Details

Today at WonderCon director Guillermo Del Toro presented some brand new Pacific Rim footage and during the Q&A part of the presentation the director was asked a question about his upcoming project Dark Universe. There’s not much known about Dark Universe at the moment, except that the film will feature a number of DC Comics supernatural characters, but the director was quick to reply and gave away a few new details about the project.

It has been revealed that the film will center around John Constantine. And yes, this time around he will be blonde. Del Toro also revealed that he will definitely explore the back stories of characters such as Swamp Thing and Etrigan The Demon in the film. The director also went on to once again state that he is currently in talks with writer that he’s not allowed to reveal yet, but it is a big deal. Warner Bros. has yet to give the film the green light at the moment, but if Pacific Rim does well at the box office you can definitely expect that they will want Del Toro to move forward with the project.
