Geekscape Mobile: Double Fine’s ‘The Cave’ Coming To iOS!

This is a game that I’ve been dying to play for some time, but have never had the chance. This release can only be good for me!

Double Fine Productions and Ron Gilbert’s (yep, the creator of Monkey Island) The Cave first launched in January of this year. It’s an adventure/puzzle title with all of the quirks that you’d expect from this pairing, and right from the game’s first trailer, I was sold. It looks beautiful, it sounds great, and it’s said to be hilarious.

TouchGen got some hands-on time with The Cave at this year’s E3… for a whole new platform. The title is being adapted for iOS devices, and will release on the iOS App Store sometime this Summer. According to their playtime, the port looks just as good as any other version of the game, and has some cool controls very suited to a touchscreen.
