Peep This Final Fantasy VII for PC Announcement Trailer!

July 4th is just a day of days. Not only did we get a new AC3 trailer, depicting our country rising up against the British, but our eye holes are graced with the confirmation of the FFVII PC rumors that have been going around. Gaze upon a trailer, about a group of freedom fighters rising up against the evil Shinra Corp.

Unlike the BADASS AC3 trailer, this one falls a tad short. With the announcement we also get the specs for the PC, which reveal a few fears I’ve had.

-Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7 (32/64-bit)
-2GHz Processor or faster
-1GB RAM
-DirectX 9-compatible graphic card

So all the rumblings that this is a HD remake or a full redo like what we witnessed in the PS3 tech demo have been debunked. What this ends up being is a PC re-release available through the Square Online store. Yeah the extra online features are nice, but I have serious doubts it can compete with some of the community mods of the game, like the Final Fantasy VII Remix that is floating out there that comes with a stack of Hi-Res texture mods.

COME ON SQUARE! WE WANT A FF7 GAME THAT LOOKS LIKE ADVENT CHILDREN!
