E3 2016: Three New Pokemon Revealed In ‘Pokemon Sun’ And ‘Pokemon Moon’
If 721 Pokemon wasn’t enough for you to catch, get ready for three more!
Revealed during the Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon Nintendo Treehouse demo, we were able to meet Yungoos, Pikipek and Grubbin. Seemingly some of the first Pokemon we’ll meet by filling that Rattata, Pidgey and Caterpie role, each one has its own unique typing and abilities to help them in battle. Yungoos for example, is a Normal type that has either the new Stakeout ability or Strong Jaw, which increases the strength of bite based attacks. Pikipek is a woodpecker that falls under the typical Flying / Normal typing, with Keen Eye or Skill Link as its possible abilities, the latter of which is especially useful since it ensures that multi hit attacks will always strike the maximum of five times. Lastly, Grubbin is a Bug Pokemon with the Swarm ability, making it more likely to run into wild Pokemon in the field.
Check out the trailer below to see them in action, alongside the official in game confirmation of the Mythical Pokemon, Magearna, who gets a Special Attack boost when its partner faints in a multi battle thanks to its Soul Heart ability, (and is a perfect way to strengthen its signature move, Fleur Cannon,) and an overview of the new Battle Royal battle type! What are your thoughts on the first of many new monsters we’ll be able to catch?
