Dark Corners GoW Map Pack Second Impressions!

This week, we continue our look into the newest of Gears of War 2 maps. Enjoy!

Memorial

This map isn’t one of my favorites. It’s a decent sized map whith two levels in it: the ground the floor, and upstairs. Keep in mind this is all outside.

Some of the weapon spawns include a Hammer of Dawn, Mortar, Longshot, and Pistols. Tagging is also easy on this map, which is ideal for Guardian. As for other gametypes, use the cover system effectivley, and you’ll be on your way.

Sanctuary

This dark map is ideal for Horde. There are a couple of points where you can set up and have a good time. With the way this map is made, there’s no way not to have fun killing each other. Some of the weapon spawns include the Longshot, Motar, Boomshot, and the Bow.

Make sure you mark your sourrounds, only then will you be successful in finding a way around the enemy.

Way Station

Way Station is a fun map if you have a solid strategy. Stay with your teammates, enjoy the sights and enviroment, and you’ll have a good time.

There’s a bridge that can fold out in the middle of the map near the spawn-point that can only be activated by pressing a button. Other than that, make sure you take advantage of the Machine Gun Turret.

Nowhere

What a depressing name for a map, right?! Anyway, this map can be fun to play on as long as you survive long enough to witness the sandstorm. That’s about all this map has to offer as far as visuals go.

There is a way to get ontop of the building near the center of the map. From here, you can kill baddies with just about any weapon. Just be sure to watch your back.

Don’t forget that if you have any clips from either Gears of War or Halo 3, and you’d like to show them off, email them to us! We will feature you if your clip is impressive enough.
