Combustible Multiplayer Map Pack
Christmas is nearing and the Microsoft points of the world may be running out due to the new deals popping up every single week for game add-ons. One of them is the new Gears of War map pack. Some may feel cheated by this 800 point map pack because of the number of maps in the pack itself. To this I say: Be lucky you got a free map pack the first day of purchasing.
So is the Combustible Map pack worth buying? Or should you take your time to obtain it? Let’s find out.
Flood
We begin with Flood. This imulsion packed map is reminiscent of Process, Gears 1 map. Weapon spawns include Torque Bow, Grenades, Boomshot, Longshot, and Mortars.
What adds to this experience is the imulsion. It moves, sometimes covering up weapon spawns. This makes strategy very important. Plan your moves wisely, friend.
Fuel Station
Next up is Fuel Station. There is a gas station, hence the name. Unfortunately, when it blows up, it simply knocks whoever’s near it down. Weapon spawns include Mortars, Longshot, Flamethrower, and Grenades, or as I would say, “nades”.
Also, the ability to go inside the gas station is a plus. This allows your teammates to fortify it and kill everyone.
Gold Rush
The third, and final map is Gold Rush. This is definitely the best map of the pack and the biggest. There are two stories. From the second story, you’re able to fire down on your enemies. Weapon spawns include Boomshot, Longshot, and Mortar.
Extensive planning could be used on this map, making it the most enjoyable map to play on.
You can defiantly wait on purchasing this map pack, but once you get some Microsoft points in your stocking, don’t feel bad about buying these. They’re well worth it and will do their job to extend the life of your Gears 2 game, so quit Scroogin’ around and get to buying these – so we can school you on them.
