Produced by Werner Herzog and Errol Morris, The Act of Killing looks at a group of death squad leaders who killed over 1,00,000 Indonesian people back in the 60’s. These executioners are praised as national heroes. This documentary shows them taking their memories of the murders they committed and recreating them in film. This results look shocking.
