Brett Ratner To Direct Dwayne Johnson In ‘Hercules: The Thracian Wars’
Looks like Brett Ratner is set to take on another comic book property. Let’s just hope that this one turns out better than his last attempt!
MGM and Paramount announced today that Ratner has signed on the direct Hercules: The Thracian World, an adaptation of the Radical Studios original graphic novel by Steve Moore and Admira Wijaya. The script has been adapted by newcomer Ryan Condal.
Being that the film isn’t set to start production until 2013, not a whole lot is known about it. Dwayne Johnson of course will play the herculean hero, and at this time the film has no other stars attached.
It’s been a rather good year for Radical Studios, as production just wrapped on a film adaptation of their popular property Oblivion. Oblivion has some major stars attached, including Tom Cruise, Andrea Riseborough, Olga Kurylenko, Morgan Freeman, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Melissa Leo.
Are you excited to see Dwayne step into this role? Are you excited that Ratner is taking it on? Is Kevin Sorbo the only real Herc?
