Air New Zealand Heads To Middle-Earth With ‘An Unexpected Briefing’

I have to say, I’ve witnessed a lot of fantastic and original marketing this week. Yesterday we showed you the hilarious first part of a new marketing strategy for Far Cry 3, and today we get a very unexpected mash up of fantasy and reality.

Air New Zealand has partnered with WETA to produce a fun new air safety video for the airline. The video includes a cameo appearance by Sir Peter Jackson, as well as fan favourite Smeagol. It’s quite hilarious to see your standard air safety procedures acted out by folks straight out of Middle-earth.

The video lasts just a few minutes, and it’s definitely worth a watch. Also, air safety is important both on and off the plane, so get on it! Safety first!
