Geekscape Lost Recaps – Recon

I hope everyone enjoyed last night’s episode. I felt that its purpose was nothing more than leading up to the events/discoveries of next week. It wasn’t all bad, though. It did lead to some questions (like every episode of Lost) and some answers, actually, as the thematic elements of the alternate universe start to show patterns from character to character…

Claire’s fake-baby

From the looks of it, the skull seems to be that of a polar bear, possibly the one Sawyer killed in season one. As of right now, I have no idea what those two dials are.

Zach

It’s clear now that the bear that was being dragged on the floor was Zach’s. The episode was titled “…And Found.”

James Ford can’t lie

It seems that James can’t lie very well in his flash-sideways. He’s caught lying at the beginning of the episode… by Miles. James’ parents did die when he was young, thus breaking the cycle of all the characters having better dads in the alternate universe or “flash sideways”.

Hydra Island

We know now that NotLocke knew Widmore was at the Hydra Island, therefore, he knowingly told Ben to go the Hydra Island in the last episode to face Widmore. Does NotLocke see Ben as a threat?

Charlotte

We know she was looking through James’ stuff, more specifically the Sawyer file. The question is, why?

Liam

It’s nice to see that Liam is sobered up and ready to save Charlie. Hopefully this is a sign of more Charlie to come.

All the best cowboys have mommy issues?

NotLocke and Kate shared a moment. In this moment, NotLocked expressed that he once had a mom too, only she was crazy. This back-story is awfully similar to John Locke’s too. With that, we can assume Locke and Aaron were destined to be play the role as The Man in Black on the island.

Pylons

Widmore knows it’s not likely the people on the main island have means of transporting all of them at once. The purpose of the pylons obviously mean that he knows he’s up against the Smoke Monster.
