Halo ODST: What is an ODST?
As you may or may not know, Halo 3: ODST will be releasing in a couple of weeks. Maybe some of you have questions or may be confused about where this falls into the timeline of the events in Halo – that’s where Teabag Prevention comes in. For the next two weeks, we’re going to be counting down the days as well as bringing you up to date about everything you need to know about Halo 3: ODST before you play it. So let’s get started.
First off, ODST (or hell jumpers) stands for Orbital Drop Shock Trooper. They have nice shiny black armor, carry weapons that normal Marines don’t have, and are generally more badass than normal Marines.
ODST’s are mostly used for stealth missions, high priority missions, and what any normal person would call suicide missions. Because of the mission outlook, ODST’s are composed of volunteers from the UNSC.
Their first major appearance was in early Halo 2. Other than that, you don’t really get to know ODST’s until the level Delta Halo, ODST soldiers entered Halo’s atmosphere alongside Master Chief, and then proceeded to kill multiple squads of Covies.
Next week, I’ll be going over where exactly Halo 3: ODST falls into place on the Halo timline. If you have anymore questions about ODST’s feel free to email us. You’ll find our email below. Thanks for reading!
