Teabag Prevention Presents: The Snowblind Map Pack – Fuel Depot

It’s the night of the fifth of April. I’m working double time now for all of you whose place I would be in if it were not for Geekscape. Yes, there will be a Halo article this Friday, but on this special Wednesday, I thought it’d be appropriate to bring our suggestions and opinions on Gears of War’s latest Map Pack.

THIS WEEK: FUEL DEPOT

TIP #1 – TOYS

Mortar/Hammer of Dawn

Pistols

Longshot/Torque Bow

Grenades

TIP #2 – IN N OUT

Fuel Depot can be divided into two sections:

Outside

Out here, you have a helicopter and the helicopter pad. The pad plays host to some key battles sometimes, but most of the time it just provides a route to someones destiny — like a young girl from the streets realizing how lucrative “dancing” is. If the battle’s not here, its inside.

Inside

At the entry way, you have a pistol spawn. These can be easily passed up for a better weapon, but are handy in great desperation — like if you’re dating a “dancer”.

So what’s inside you ask? Well, if you’re not a veteran Gears player, then you’ll see that a Hammer and Mortar spawn here. As usual, Hammer > Mortar, so be sure to make an effort to grab it while you have the chance — unlike a “dancer”.

TIP #3  – HIDE YOUR SHAME

There’s a considerable amount of cover waiting to be used outside. Just be sure not to take cover behind the gas station for too long because it CAN blow up, so you’ll either die or be knocked down. Both are rather the same thing, so don’t do it.

Most of the outdoor battles are on or around the Helipad. Watch out for snipers and others who hide around corners and boxes alike.

TIP #4 -TAKE A WALK ON THE IN-SIDE

Inside, you’ll find that you have an equal amount of cover on both sides. Use this to your advantage, but look out for people with ‘nades or Torque’s. If there are people there, you’re, then, easily able to shoot in from the outside via little cracks.

You could always rush through the center if you wish, but it also increases the possibility of dying. Going alone anywhere usually results in dying; like in ‘Nam.

Also, never rush just to pick a weapon up unless you’re completely alone.
