Teabag Prevention Presents: Halo Vol.2 – Assembly

You know what? I’m just gonna say it. I like this map. We got everything from Rockets to lonely Brute Shots. It may seem as an open, mid-range battle ready map at first, but as you play, you’ll notice that there can be more close quarter fights then there are mid-range fights. Why is this? Because everyone is too lazy to go out and fight? Maybe. But this is mostly because of the many hallways, gravity lifts, and rooms in this map. They may look the same, but, you know what? They’re not. Think like that and you die.

So, rather than boring you with an introduction, let’s get down to business.

THIS WEEK: ASSEMBLY

TIP #1 – Know your stuff

Rockets

Rockets can be hard to get to, so here’s how:

Happy?

Gravity Hammer

This is located in the center of the map, bottom floor. Two entry ways makes this area a tug of war.

Brute Shot

Poor thing. B-shotty is off in the corner, away from friends. It feels worthless. Maybe you shouldn’t even pick it up because it’s off in the corner, behind that.. thing.

Mauler

The Mauler is located in the center of the map, but top floor. FOUR entry ways make this area sound sexual.

Equipment

Do I really need to explain these? Come on Gilmore! Just look at the damn pictures, THEN find your way around!

Active Camo

This is in the dead center of the map. That’s where everything seems to be these days.

TIP #2 – L3nd m3h y0ur h3lpin’ h4nd

Hopefully by now you see that the entire map is circular. It’s not that difficult to see where shots are being fired from either. So when you ARE getting shot at, and don’t know where it’s coming from, ask a teammate and they should be able to cover you… before it’s too late.

So how do you avoid the whole situation altogether? Here’s the trick: Don’t stay still. If you keep running around the map, blasting enemies as they show up, you’ll get at LEAST a killing spree. If they spawn on the same level as you, you might need some help. Luckily, cover is available.

So partly rely on your teammates while giving cover fire in return. Also, since there are a total of three levels, jumping skillz are required.

TIP #3 – Up, up, but not away…

There are three gravity lifts. If you have a rifle, these points are ideal due to the high vantage points. Just watch out for ‘nades if you’re camping up there.

Also, even though there is cover, it doesn’t mean you’re invincible. So when you do go up there, take something that you know you’ll get kills with. Something like a Rocket Launcher…unless you’re master at the Battle Rifle or other things.

One more thing, if you’re camping up there, have a Bubble Shield, Regen, or at least something to protect yourself with.

TIP #4 – Stalker with the giant Hammer

There are close quarters on this map. Many battles are fought like that. So, of course, you’re going to need the ultimate melee weapon on your back: The Gravity Hammer. You can escape fire by running around on the bottom floor, or stalking people into one of the rooms.

But don’t EVER go out into the open because you WILL die. Teams will focus all fire on you because they want your blood. So just be cautious of that and just before you go in to kill someone, watch out for stickies.

TIP #5 – Panic Hole

There are four bridges that lead to the center of the map. Some of the main battles are fought there.
You’re going to want to throw ‘nades to time before you enter. Also, take note that grenades bounce off what you think would be a lift.

It goes one way, and that’s down. You can send a teammate down there to wait for unsuspecting enemies who think that they’re escaping your team’s fire.

The main thing you want to watch out for are people with Maulers and Gravity Hammers that could possibly be waiting for you inside.
