Teabag Prevention: How to Suck Less at Gears of War 2 – Week 5 Blood Drive

Blood Drive can be an easy win if you play it right. It’s actually quite elementary and simple. Both sides of the map are identical which makes it easier than it otherwise would be for you to strategize what to do when you get to the other team’s side. So watch your step and make the best of what you’ve got, cause what you’ve got is this map and this map is no problem. No problem at all…

TIP #1 – WEAPONS!

Longshot/Bow

Flamethrower

Grenades

TIP #2 – CHARGE!

Charging down the center of the map is never a good thing, but if it’s necessary, make sure you have back up. There’s enough pillars in the center to cover both you and your teammates. So why isn’t this the ideal way to attack? Because of this:

And if you’re alone, sometimes this can happen:

So if your whole team is in the center, you just made yourselves an easy target.

TIP #3 – USE THE COVER!

Flanking is made easy on this map due to the “long way around.” Sure, you can cover this area with ‘nades, but that doesn’t mean it’ll stop enemies. Careless ones yes, but not everyone is careless these days. Not like in the old days.

You should always use caution when progressing through these hallways. They do provide cover, so be sure to capitalize on that.

Once you’ve made it to the enemy side, it’s up to you to either go to the top and work your way down, or take out whoever’s preventing your team from advancing from that center spot.

TIP #4 – ALWAYS!

Setting up ‘nades around you is essential. Work as a team, and you’ll dominate the map. If you don’t do this, then you WILL die. Never be alone without protection. Always use protection. Seriously. Ask Brian.
