`24′ Movie To Shoot Next Summer!!!
Jack Bauer fans rejoice! It would seem that fans of the show ’24’ just got some good news. Kiefer Sutherland recently told Craveonline that the script for the ’24’ movie is ready to go and they plan on filming it when Sutherland’s new show Touch wraps up it’s second season.
“Timing,” Sutherland said. “We didn’t have a script ready for that until very close to the end of ‘Touch.’ We knew we were coming back so there was a very finite window for me to make the film, to try to prep it, cast it and all of those other things. It was just unrealistic for Fox to try and make it, so they pushed it for next break.”
Fox pulled the plug back in March over budget and star salary issues. So with a script now ready to go the only question is not when it will get made but how much will it get made for. Fox previously only wanted to spend $30 million to get it made while producers felt they needed at least $40 million.
Hopefully they can come to an agreement on the budget and set a date to start filming. If the movie starts filming next year then the earliest it could come out is 2014. That would mean it’ll have been four long years since fans have seen Jack Bauer kick some ass. That’s four years too long if you ask me. The world needs Jack Bauer and it needs him now!
