There is a Square Enix countdown page for Chrono Trigger for DS. How do we know? Well, the ctds (Chrono Trigger DS) in the page's URL, not to mention the emblematic Chrono series clock imagery, are pretty telling. It also doesn't hurt that scans from the Japanese magazine Jump confirming the game have just started hitting the web. So yeah, after being rumored for quite some time, Chrono Trigger is headed for the DS. And it appears to be a port of the original game, not a remake

Amy says, "I want to know anything that John can tell us about Fruitcake." Well, I had a big-budget meeting about it yesterday. It's a terribly wonderful Christmas adventure. It starts Johnny Knoxville, who plays the father, but it's mostly all children in it. You're going to see a different version of a John Waters movie all done with kids. So imagine The Little Rascals if John Waters had directed it.

Man, oh man. This is either WAY kick ass or WAY scary as hell. It's a picture of Charlton Heston's basement. Somewhere in me is a kid who would love to believe that Heston was battling Cobra at night and using the Hollywood Superstar persona as a cover. But that kid is probably 100% wrong and dumb as bricks. The second the war breaks out I'm heading to this basement to stock up GTA style.

Shocker! Harmonix has done and made Rock Band 2. The game will be out on the Xbox 360 this September, and the PS3 later this year. The sequel will feature a new set list, and the RB2 bundle will feature "quieter, more realistic, and more reliable instruments" says Lead Designer Dan Teasdale. The good news for those who already own Rock Band is that all the songs you've purchases so far will be playable and supported in Rock Band 2.

The Dark Knight is Already Poised to Shatter Records! June 27, 2008 by Alex Billington We're completely in the thick of the summer movie season now and excitement for numerous upcoming films is starting to boil over. You might remember a rather interesting article I wrote last weekend titled: The Financial Success of The Dark Knight. In it, I discussed the potential for The Dark Knight's incredible financial success and in turn started a heated discussion in the comments about how much money The Dark Knight might end up making. An e-mail hit my inbox today with some rather exciting news. "As of June 27th, Dark Knight has sold eight times as many tickets on MovieTickets.com as Spider-Man 3 at the same point in the sales cycle — 21 days from the film's official release." Yes, this movie is going to be big, very big. It's already poised to shatter records and we've still got 21 more days. The e-mail came from MovieTickets.com's public relations representative and is completely accurate. Let me remind you that Spider-Man 3 currently holds the world record for the biggest opening weekend at $151 million in three days. The Dark Knight has already surpassed ticket sales of Spider-Man 3 at 21 days in advance - that is a strong indication that this movie is easily going to shatter records. Add in this news from SlashFilm as well: Fandango reports that midnight showings on their site are already selling out. I haven't felt this confident in how big the opening weekend of a film will be since 300 changed Hollywood forever with its record-breaking March opening weekend. Now I won't exactly claim that I think The Dark Knight is going to beat Spider-Man 3, per se, but I have a feeling it will break some records. Passing Spidey's three day weekend total is going to be tough. Even Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, at $135 million, didn't even come that close. Everyone seems to be under the impression that the dark, anti-family nature of the film and it's 150-minute running time are going to hurt its box office. Guess what? They won't. And this information right here is early proof. Get ready for one hell of an incredible July. Everyone who has doubted the potential for The Dark Knight is going to be shocked to see the film shatter all of their perceptions of how the Hollywood system works. That's how big and how powerful The Dark Knight truly is!

The next iteration of the Castlevania series will, in fact, be the rumored Wii debut of the series. Also, it's a 3D fighter. Yes, really. So far we know the game will feature a range of characters from across Castlevania history, including Simon Belmont, Alucard, Maria Renard, and (of course) Dracula. The normal mix of weapons and subweapons will be as expected -- holy water, daggers, and boomerangs are all confirmed -- and you'll still need to eat up hearts to use them. In addition to that, players will also have the ability to set traps and use the environment to their advantage.

I think this is slightly old news, or if not, then the names have been floating around on the 'net rumor mill for a while, but according to Jon Faverau "...Marvel's plan is "to team up the heroes for The Avengers, which is made up of all of the Marvel heroes they have the rights to." And which characters do they have the rights to exactly? Favreau says the team's lineup has changed throughout the years, "but the ones Marvel is talking about now are Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Ant-Man and Iron Man..." Check out the link for more info, including a brief-character synopsis for all the characters listed above.
