Our whole lives we have been told that geeks are loners and isolationists.

Geekscape shows that this perception is far from being correct.

Premiering as a podcast in December 2006, Geekscape abandoned the traditional ideologies of IPTV, podcasting, and niche websites. Geekscape instead set off on a new unique path, that embraces the fact that a show, or a site for that matter, is only as strong as its community. We might be geeks, but we have strength in numbers!

And the Geekscape community is strong. The self-described Geekscapists gather in the forums and news page of the site to share their love of comics, movies, music and games either by posting news items or starting discussions in the forums. The news items reported in the weekly podcast come straight from items submitted by the Geekscape users.

As a show, Geekscape works with a rotating co-host helping to showcase the latest news and reviews in the world of Geekdom. These co-hosts range from various industry professionals to Geekscapists themselves! At the end of the day, we are all enthusiastic Geeks and can all give insight on our never ending journey into the Geekscape! This is a shared experience and our free-flow of news and opinions helps to unite us all under one banner!

Geekscape, as a diverse community, is the result of that shared experience of "geeking out". Guests and visitors to the Geekscape website can "geek out" over any numbers of things: movies, videogames, comics, music. For those looking for a good starting place, the Geekscape podcast delivers weekly news and reviews on the latest geek subjects. Here on the Geekscape site you can view and download the show, post news stories, read featured articles pertaining to the geek lifestyle or meet and interact with your fellow Geekscapists.

In our NEWS section, you can read and share the latest news with the rest of your Geekscapists. If you find an interesting article, anywhere on the net, submit it to your fellow Geekscapists for their enlightenment. If your article is something that really gets the Geek fluids flowing, the community will ZAP your story to the top! Then again, if they don't deem your article all that interesting they might just CRAP on it! Feel free to do the same!

The FEATURES section of the site is where you can read opinions and interviews from the Geeks behind Geekscape! Everyday, we strive to bring you the best articles that either look at the Geek existence in a new entertaining way or bring you some insight into a Geek oriented professional or celebrity in the form of in-depth interviews! Whatever you find, it should be enough to keep your attention between comic books and video games.

The PODCAST section of the site is where you can download and relive your favorite past Geekscape episodes or watch them live in the handy Flash window. As the Geekscape community grows, we'll see this section turn into your favorite entertainment channel anywhere!

The COMMUNITY part of the site is where the big Geek throw-down happens! In our forums, you can leave your opinion on the latest happenings and meet other Geekscapists. There's a Chatroom for live talk with the rest of the Geekscapists and User Profiles for getting the latest stats on whatever Geekscapist you're interested in.

All you need to do to join up is start a profile and start sharing your knowledge and love of all things geek. This can be television, comics, games, movies, music or anything you geek out over. Its as simple as that! So acknowledge your inner geek and set your phaser to fun. Its time to explore the Geekscape!
